It all started when…

I attended my first illumination workshop and I started painting. I knew it was the thing I wanted to do for years to come! After few years of learning and running workshops in-person and online, I have a new offering for you and it is this club, which will push you and I to paint at least once a month to keep our skills sharp and our hands limber. Painting a whole pattern from start to finish following the illumination style can take up to a week depending on how you are doing it.

Who is this club for?

This club is intended for my pattern lovers and artists who are either familiar or not with this art form. The monthly sessions are not going to be hard, but not super easy either, so some drawing experience is helpful, but you can be a beginner too. This is not a workshop or a course, it is a like a support group for like minded art enthusiasts.

Do the rewards and benefits change?

Your opinion matters and I will be asking you every few months for preferences. I like to keep things fresh and I completely appreciate you being in the club, so I am hoping to keep it interesting for months to come. We might even be able to do in-person catchups when covid-19 disappears.

What does the private blog mean?

You will have access to members-only private blog and here are a few examples of the offerings on there:

• Introduce yourself and add your social links to get to know one another. The community aspect is very important and it’s nice to have art friends who get you!

• Share more tools and recommendations from all of us.

• Discuss ideas and other illumination topics.

• A monthly post for the pattern and the zoom catch-up of the month.

Each post includes a comments feature and we will use it to chat and discuss. Like a Facebook group, but better!

When do I get the get the pattern?

I will add the pattern to the specified page in the member area the first day of the month and you will be able to view it and download it the whole month. I will remove it at the last day of the month, so make sure that you do save it or print it. First pattern will be available Monday 1st March.

What can I do with the monthly patterns?

You can do whatever you want to do with the pattern. Mainly painting it whoever you want. The only thing you won’t be able to do is TEACH or sell the rights to the pattern. You can sell your painting physically though or gift the finished piece to a friend.

What are the Zoom catch-ups about?

SO MANY THINGS! Mainly, the pattern we will paint during the month, how we plan to do it and general art catch-ups if we watched, read or listened to all things art and painting!

When is the Zoom catch-up?

It changes every month, but usually it is in the evening. Hopefully, we can work out a schedule that can fit multiple time-zones.
